Abstract

Chemical looping combustion (CLC), as a new generation of combustion technology, has the advantages of inherent CO2 separation and cascade energy utilization. In this paper, the basic principles and development history of CLC are presented, and the inherent technical advantages, potential disadvantages, development opportunities, and key technical challenges are systematically analyzed. Finally, this paper provides an outlook on the technological maturity and industrial application of CLC.
